Mazda 3 is considered a great success in the automotive industry. However, it lacks speed and performance, so Tatsuo Maeda, the automaker’s chief engineer, pointed to such improvements and attached them to the recent member of the Mazda clan.

Website design By BotEap.comThe 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 has the advantage of a 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbo unit, just like the Mazdaspeed 6, which is capable of generating 64 horsepower, equivalent to 264 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 280 pound-feet of torque at 3000 rpm. That performance translates into a 0-60 time and a top speed of 149 mph.

The Mazdaspeed 3 chassis was also modified. Additional reinforcement was made around the floor, the center tunnel and through the strut towers. The car also received higher spring rates and thicker anti-roll bars. High-quality Bridgestone RE050A tires were also incorporated to complement the performance. Furthermore, the brakes and calipers were also made similar to those of the Volvo S60.

The interior has a two-tone finish, red stitching, aluminum pedals, and a leather steering wheel and gear stick. Said interior is inspired by European design and feel.
