Monsters among us

Website design By BotEap.comGods Among Us. That’s the subtitle for the video game Injustice, a DC superhero fighting game that features all of the famous heroes and villains from the franchise. Let’s suppose for a moment, just for a moment that this scenario is real, and we have these superheroes walking among us, and let’s ask ourselves, do we really need gods? The answer to this is hidden in a contradictory fact; There are monsters among us.
Looking back at human history, we realize that it is full of monsters. Some less poisonous and some very poisonous but still very dangerous. Sometimes these monsters were so powerful that they began to fight each other in a battle to call themselves superpowers and world leaders by climbing over the corpses of millions. Or sometimes they unite in a violent massacre of masses hidden under the false veil of peace and reconstruction. Either way, the bottom line is that people suffer and these monsters live and become more powerful and prevail.
Over time, these monsters evolve like everything else. They become more politicized, more educated, and describe themselves as civilized. Some even hide under the mask of democracy and build such powerful systems where the system dictates, eventually giving monsters more power and keeping others at a basic level.
But wait. Something doesn’t fit, something doesn’t feel right here. Where are those gods with whom I started my article? The gods we need to balance the equation. The gods that come and kick the monsters’ butt and bring peace, A true peace. Growing up, like any other kid, I was very fascinated by comics and superheroes like superman, batman, etc. one thing was always common among all those comics and cartoons and in each episode, in the end the superhero wins the battle but never eliminates the bad guy completely and the bad guy always escapes with the promise to come back with a new evil plan and he did in the next episode only to get his butt kicked with the same promise to come back, a new plan and the cycle went on and on. Despite how fascinated I was with these comics, I never understood one thing, that it was obvious why the bad boy is completely eliminated. Another thing that really disappointed me when I got a little older is that in real life monsters are too powerful than the forces of good and they win on every front. A question arises, since monsters are very real, but is there a god who opposes them?
It just happened when I got a chance to see (relatively small) monsters up close. Sometimes in uniform and sometimes in other guises, but they all had the same agenda, to gain power and eventually rule others in their domains. Again, where are the gods? Where are superman and batman? Where are those Jedi with lightsabers in their hands who annihilate the armies of stormtroopers? As I ran and tried to solve this question that haunted me for so many years, little by little I began to realize the difference between reality and fantasy. While the monsters were very real, the gods, on the other hand, were not present at all.
It was then that I had another revelation, to my surprise. Suddenly I began to see the gods everywhere. Some stronger than others, but all fighting the injustice of monster society and rule. The gods who cannot fly or emit lasers from the eyes, but the gods who are committed and dedicated to good causes with a single bounty on their eyes, to eliminate monsters one day so they can never return with a new plan. I began to see these gods in the form of normal people, acting day by day and living a normal life, but trying to fight narratives using the power of the pen, the media, and protest. These gods never stop and approach wherever a monster tries to unleash its evil plan, be it to detain their parents’ children or to accommodate and aid Syrian refugees. They never give up, they never stop working to break the narrative. So now, when I see and look at monsters, I don’t get too scared, as I know that for every monster there is a god who tries very hard in his ability to break the chains, trying to kick the monster’s butt.
