Website design By BotEap.comEmbodying the sexy and comfortable moment that fashion is currently experiencing, modal seeks to be the rising star of fabrics with its use by numerous designers for both spring and fall. Hodges Collection used modal extensively in their tops and dresses. Tie-dye maxi dresses (in blue and black) were the line’s top sellers at this show, with its slouchy, off-the-shoulder sweaters showing strongly. Fall drew shoppers to the Hodges Collection interested in three-button, quarter-length coats in earth colors of the forest. To complete the contemporary bohemian look that shoppers try to recreate in their stores, California-based Jenny B Clothing has received large orders for her fine cotton-blend scarves with colorful animal prints.

Website design By BotEap.comSan Francisco specialty knitwear company Margaret O’Leary was well prepared for the demand from buyers for cashmere sweaters and cotton knits. Made with thick stripes or asymmetrical necklines, these knits wowed in popular colors like paprika, mustard, chestnut, caramel, blue and dark green. Equally sumptuous were the simple, everyday fabrics created by Fresh Laundry; With a slouchy/sexy aura, the designs hit the spot with details like ribbed cut-out bottoms and cuffed sleeves. Using a slightly different palette, Fresh Laundry indicated that they did well with iceberg gray, mocha, and charcoal.

Website design By BotEap.comMINKPINK, a line beloved by the Kardashian sisters, injected some pizzazz into the showroom with its best-selling maxi skirts featuring folksy prints and 1970s-inspired florals. Animal prints, particularly leopard, worked very well, just like chunky cable-knit sweaters with a vintage vibe. MINKPINK tapped into the country hippy trend with saffron orange woven throughout the collection. Most of its updated hairnets sold strongly and without hesitation, the skirts and dresses outsold the shorts and pants, as reported by the brand.

Website design By BotEap.comLuxury bag designer Botiker unveiled what are sure to be some of the most coveted leather bags of the fall season. Unlike other brands, color-blocked styles sold well for Botiker, as did feminine frames, two-tone panniers, and oversized totes. While jewel tones dominated the line, splashes of cranberry, pewter, and orange emerged, as did embossed snakeskin. Sienna Ray & Co., a Vancouver-based line, lured shoppers with a line of convertible bags. Most could not only be worn over the shoulder or across the body, but also became foldable satchels and handbags when certain straps were added or removed. His signature crinkle washed leather came in spring colors of teal, turquoise, beige and maple with aubergine, caramel and cocoa for fall.

Website design By BotEap.comAs unlikely as Austin, TX is to be a place where unique vintage-inspired jewelry is created, it’s where Ax + Apple Jewelry calls home. The collection is based on sterling silver and gold braided necklaces adorned with old coins, knives and glass beads among other pieces. A distinctive Native American vibe runs through her collection, very of the moment. Another line of vintage-inspired accessories, New York-based Erica Weiner turned heads with necklaces embellished with porcupine quills, ginkgo leaves, and miniature harmonicas (which really work!). A collection based around charms, the necklaces sold best, followed by her folded feather bracelets and stud earrings. Buyers take note; Consumers are increasingly interested in supporting eco-conscious brands, with Erica Weiner being one of the pioneers of this movement in accessories.
