The demand for internet access (data transfer services) grew strongly but was extremely slow and demanded attention, hence the 3G docking. The first 3G was launched by NTT DoCoMo (it sounds Irish but it isn’t) in May 2001 and while this 3G was being refined, 2.5G systems were developed as an extension of the 2G network.

Website design By BotEap.com2007 saw 295 million subscribers to the 3G network worldwide, the growth of subscribers using the Internet slowed everything once again and required more attention from think tanks. This thinking has now led to 4G, which promises speeds of 10 times compared to 3G.
