BMW Use Electric Steering

As a brand that prides itself on performance and agility, BMWs have to be able to deliver the right feeling through the steering wheel. The application engineers are able to analyze surveys, questioners, and satisfaction reports to determine what feels best in a particular model. They may also take into account feedback from the public, which can help determine what is needed to meet customer expectations.

As a result of all this feedback, BMW is able to make changes that improve both comfort and steering feel in different models. This includes features such as pull-drift compensation, which reduces the amount of force that is necessary to keep the vehicle in a straight line. Koch and Heiss explain that the goal is to have a steering system that is not only safe, but also a joy to drive.

One of the main ways that BMW can do this is by offering a wide range of steering wheels, including custom designs and materials. Using a new or upgraded steering wheel can enhance the connection between the driver and the road, as well as add a sense of luxury and exclusivity to the interior. Moreover, steering wheel upgrades and custom BMW steering wheels can also enhance the grip on the wheel, which is critical for precise control in sporty driving scenarios or performance-oriented situations. A custom steering wheel made of brushed aluminum or carbon fiber can also help elevate the overall aesthetics of the interior.
