More stars leaving the Premier League than joining!

Website design By BotEap.comWhen soccer fans around the world saw that three of the four semi-finalists in the last Champions League were from England, they realized why the English Premier League was not considered “one” of the best, but “THE BEST” in the world of soccer. Although the eventual champions were not one of those English teams, soccer fans around the world were left in no doubt as to which soccer league dominated the world of soccer.

Soccer stars from Brazil, Argentina, Italy, France, Spain and many other nations have graced the English Premier League stage. However, more recently, more foreign stars have been found leaving the league than joining it. Here I look at the last few transfer windows and try to tell you how the exodus of the number of stars has exceeded the number of stars entering the league.

Website design By BotEap.comAfter the Italians lifted the soccer World Cup trophy, people expected quite a few World Cup stars to join the English league for the huge income it offered. However, none of those Italian footballers eventually made it to England. During the last transfer windows, names like Ronaldinho, Riquelme, Adriano, Villa and many others signed up to come to England. Again the end result was that these players were not ready to leave Spain and Italy.

Website design By BotEap.comIn 2006, Ruud van Nistelrooy, a Manchester United success story, shifted to a Mediterranean climate when he joined Spain’s Real Madrid as the biggest signing of the transfer window. Along with Van Nistelrooy, Chelsea’s Arjen Robben and Manchester United’s Gabrielle Heinze also left the first division from the Spanish city of Madrid for the Real Madrid soccer club.

Henry, however, openly admits that if it weren’t for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and a great platform for football like the English League, he would never have been the player he is today.
