The announcement that defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin would be heading to the University of Tennessee came on December 1 and the Bucs lost their momentum and the last 4 games. This left them out of the running for a playoff spot. In 2009, the team is looking for a chance to get back on track and their chances of winning the championship are good.
