The word repentance has a simple meaning of changing the “mind”. It is a radical change in our thinking. The Kingdom of God is the government and authority of God. So when Jesus said to repent because the Kingdom of God is near, he was simply saying “it’s time to change your mind about who’s in charge.” Then, to test who was in charge, Jesus demonstrated his power over demonic spirits by driving them out with his words and then healing all kinds of sickness and disease among the people.

However, the benefits of submission to the Kingdom of God, which is his rule and authority, mean that you now have the ability to defeat every attack of the enemy and can be free from the oppression of sin, sickness, and disease. Jesus has absolute power over illness. He has absolute power and authority over the powers of darkness and by submitting to his Kingdom, you have that same power as a son of the King.

He provides for his physical, spiritual, mental, and spiritual well-being. Why? Because he knows that the advancement of his Kingdom depends on having healthy, wealthy and wise children.

He does not rule by force but by opening his arms of love and inviting you into the benefits of his Kingdom. What are those benefits? Healing, deliverance, peace, joy, love, mercy, compassion, eternal life with Him, and abundant life right now here on earth.
