2004 Ford F150

Website design By BotEap.comThe 2004 F150 has been completely redesigned and only for the better. Since the Dodge Ram’s reinvention a few years earlier, both Ford and GM full-size pickup trucks were severely lacking in modernity and comfort. Although the Silverado and Sierra are relatively the same for 2004, the new F150 is just as aggressive and possibly even more refined than the Ram. The body styling is very nice and the extra space offered to passengers and drivers is ideal for long trips. The manufacturer still offers a huge selection of trim packages and body styles that make these trucks very customizable.

The front control panel has been redesigned with a more modern version and looks very attractive with a factory standard digital stereo. The front seats have been designed for comfort, and the center console is great for storing fairly large items. All cab sizes have been increased in size by a total of 4 inches more width and 6 inches more length. Crew Cab models have only a 5.5-foot cargo box, while all other models come with a 5.5-, 6.5-, or 8-foot cargo box.

The XL models are the basic work style package, but thanks to the fact that we live in modern times, they actually come with a decent amount of accessories. Owners can expect at least some power accessories like windows and locks, along with a decent stereo system. Advancing in refinement is the XLT, which comes with fully electric accessories, cruise control, CD players, power adjustable seats and much more. The Lariat model represents the best in luxury one can find in a truck. Standard features include leather upholstery, navigation systems, and a plethora of other options.

STX models have been designed for the best on-road performance and have shocks and powertrains designed specifically for that purpose. For those who want an off-road truck, there are the FX4 models that have raised bodies and stronger suspension components. Interior options are similar to XLT models with many optional accessories offered. For the price most of these trucks are offered, it’s not a bad idea to consider one of these trucks as an upgrade if you need a themed truck for specific conditions.

Website design By BotEap.comAvailable engines for the 2004 Ford F150 include a 4.6-liter V8 that makes 231 horsepower, or a 5.4-liter V8 capable of making over 300 horsepower. Compared to previous years, these engines are much better in the performance category, especially the smaller engine. Compared to the Silverado and Ram, the F150 gets excellent fuel economy. EPA-estimated averages range from 14 mpg city to 18 mpg highway, making the trucks comparable to Chevy and much better than the Ram.

Overall, the new styling is a vast improvement over what was already a formidable competitor. Drivers looking for comfort and refinement combined with very modern styling should try one of these full-size trucks.
