My father, uncle and I were leading the way in a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup with my brother and grandfather following close behind. Six in the morning was the first pit stop, breakfast at a truck stop just before starting the nine hour interstate drive to International Falls, MN. Anticipation was always high the entire truck ride to Canada, wondering how many walleye the lake my family has vacationed in for 25 years would produce. Previous fishing trip stories in Canada resonate throughout the truck, we caught more fish in that F-150 than in any body of water, and they were all in the clouds. Many flashbacks occurred on this hike, Canada never let us down when it came to making memories.
