Laguna Beach Dog Park and Dog Friendly Restaurants

Website design By BotEap.comLaguna Beach has always been an amazing dog friendly city. From the dog park to the dog friendly restaurants to the pet stores to the beaches to the trails, there is always something fun to do with your dog in Laguna Beach.

Website design By BotEap.comThe most obvious example of how much this city loves dogs is the Laguna Dog Park located in Laguna Canyon. Also known as “Dog Park” to many locals and puppy patrons. This park is supported by Friends of Laguna Beach Dog Park non-profit organization. This large lawn area offers two fully fenced areas, one open to canines of all sizes and the other reserved for small dogs. This is a great place to bring your dog off the leash to sniff, run, jump, chase and play in doggy heaven! Although there are not too many people during the day, you will often find more dogs later in the afternoon as more people leave work and during the weekends. There are sunny spots, tree-shaded benches, and large green areas for your dog to play!

With all the seats set up outside, you will almost always find people who have brought their dogs. This restaurant serves fresh and wonderful meals and if you bring your pup, don’t be surprised if the staff here give your dog affection. It is not uncommon for the owner to go out and share dog treats with the furry friends at each table. Additionally, this café sells unique gifts and decorations, and you’ll find ornaments hanging from the trees, as well as sculptures and decorations throughout the establishment. If you’ve never been, bring your dog and try the Madison Ranchers! There are also many other dog friendly restaurants in Laguna Beach with outdoor patio seating, including The Cottage, The Stand, Sundried Tomato Cafe, and Zinc Cafe, just to name a few!

Website design By BotEap.comIf you are looking for outdoor activities to do in town, there are many dog friendly hiking trails and beaches in Laguna Beach. If you’re looking for a great workout, take your dog to the West Ridge Trail and hike to the top of the ridge. This trail is easily accessible from Top of the World Park (Parque Alta Laguna) and dogs are allowed. The views from this trail are spectacular and since you are walking along a ridge the elevation changes will give you a fantastic cardio workout with your dog. If hiking isn’t your thing, cool off by taking your dog to one of Laguna’s many dog-friendly beaches. Most of the city’s beaches allow dogs, just be sure to check the signs at the beach entrance for specific restrictions. During the busy summer months (June 1 to September 16), dogs are only allowed on the beaches before 9:00 am and after 6:00 pm. But since the sun stays longer, there will still be plenty of time for your dog to play in the waves or run on the sand.

Website design By BotEap.comWith so many activities and restaurants for dogs, Laguna Beach is a great city to live with your dog. If you are looking for services for dogs in Laguna Beach, such as pet supplies, groomers, alimony or veterinarians, there are many excellent services available in or near the city. You can also find various dog services that will walk or even watch you at your home while you are away.
