Website design By BotEap.comOntario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) is a provincial government funded program for one of two reasons. The main motive is to promote excellence in postgraduate learning in masters and doctorates. These are merit-based awards and sponsorships open to various students, including foreign students, in all disciplines of academic study.
- A sum of one hundred and sixty-six prizes is available at Waterloo in which:
- The first five (5) are reserved for international graduate students only as part of the global competition;
- two (2) are reserved for native students and;
- the rest 159 go to the 6 faculties
- All 35 Queen Elizabeth II Science and Technology Graduate Scholarships (QEII-GSST) are available at Waterloo:
- For national students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines fields of study.
- The scholarship is worth $ 15,000 per year.
- The main eligibility criteria for an international student who intends to study in Ontario is a permit from an authority.
- The minimum period to run the postgraduate scholarship program is 2 consecutive periods.
- Scholarship applicants must have a first-class standard, (A- / 80% minimum) in each of the last 2 full-time academic years. This means that eligibility averages are based on grades as of August 31, 2017.
- You must provide transcripts from all of your postsecondary institutions, whether you have their certificate or not.
- Graduate transcripts are required even if Fall 2017 is the first period of your program.
- The same scholarship application form is also useful for evaluating a candidate for the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology. The QEII-GSST is also worth $ 15,000 per year.
- You, as a student, have the option of accepting sponsorship from OGS or QEII-GSST for a minimum value of 2 terms at $ 10,000 or 3 periods worth $ 15,000. The scholarships are not renewable.
- An academic distinction with a weight of 30% to 50% as established by academic records, scholarships, awards and honor lists.
- Communication and leadership skills weighing 0% to 20%, as evidenced by a list of relevant academic, leadership, and volunteer work experience.
- Research capacity and potential in the study of the program with a weight of 30% to 50% confirmed by conferences, originality, presentations and publications.
- Scholarships from three agencies (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC, Vanier)

- Ontario Trillium Scholarships (OTS)
- Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST)
