Website design By BotEap.comPowered by the 3.5-litre light-alloy Rover V8 unit, the first released is now commonly known as the “Classic Range Rover” and shares the same engine unit as in the Morgan +8. Although built with high performance off-road capabilities, the SUV remained a luxury car that truly created a whole new market for itself with four-wheel drive luxury SUVs. After eleven years in production, the vehicle was released with a 5-door option, with previous models only being available as a three-door.

Website design By BotEap.comThe interior of the car was improved, with also notable changes to the bodywork and the introduction of a 2.5-litre BMW engine in the Mark II. The Mark II was introduced with a number of exclusive limited edition models, all to mark Range Rover’s 25th anniversary. Continued triumphant sales of the SUV led to the luxury SUV being exported to the United States, with earlier models only available as gray imports. Sales and popularity of the car continued.

Website design By BotEap.comThe car’s image of exclusivity and luxury was enhanced with new variations of the SUV in 2003. The Range Rover Vogue was introduced as the top of the range model. The RR Sport saw Range Rover appeal to the higher-end market, with the car based on the road, although the Sport had not lost its forefathers’ roots and could still handle off-road well. With a growing four-wheel drive off-road market, the car has very fruitful sales and continues to be the market leader.
