Website design By BotEap.comThe next day, Ben walked from his neighborhood several blocks to wait for the bus. He did not forget the rare Folio and placed it carefully, interspersed among his other books before leaving home. When he got to school, he took out the Folio and put it carefully in his locker.

Just before walking to class, Ben opened his locker safe and took out the book, placing it in his purse. He was early to class for a change. Then he slowly pulled out the Folio. As soon as Ben put it down on his desk, Leaf saw it immediately and her eyes widened as she carefully turned the pages. She started licking her lips as she began to foam around her mouth. He looked at Ben with wild eyes.

Then he asked, “Where did you get this book from?” “I got it from my dad’s office at the Yale library.” “May l?”

Ben hesitated but agreed.

Mr. Leaf picked it up and examined it carefully, turning its old pages. “Where exactly does your father work in the Yale library?” “In the Rare Manuscripts department.” A girl with short hair asked, “What’s wrong, Mr. Leaf?”

“Class, Ben brought this extremely old book with all of Shakespeare’s plays. It is dated 1623, seven years after his death. It is one of the first of his works to be printed. Ben obtained it from his father’s office at the Yale University Library.. “

Mr. Leaf smiled slowly. “It’s not worth much. A lot of these were printed.” No, this copy is worth millions! Leaf thought to himself. “Ben, can I save this just for today? I promise I’ll bring it back tomorrow.” But Leaf had no intention of giving it back; he had already decided to steal it and leave New Haven.

Ben dropped out of school after his last period and took the bus to the Yale library.

As soon as he entered his father’s office, he saw his father with two guards.

Joe stormed out the office door and yelled, “Ben, where is it ??? … the Folio!” Ben got so scared and muttered, “I … I … took him to school.” “You better have it with you!” His head sank down, staring at the ground. “No sir.” “What did you do with that?” Yelled Joe. I lent it to Mr. Leaf. “George Leaf … your literature instructor?”

In addition, he searched under the police data that showed that “George Leaf” was not his real name; It was “Richard V. Winchester.” Furthermore, the analysis revealed that he was under investigation for stealing rare works of art and even books. The guard called the police and told them about the robbery. He directed them to go to his office at the school.

Leaf knew they were here from the book, but pretended not to see them. He couldn’t believe the word had gotten around so quickly. “Where is that nice book?” one of them asked harshly. “We want that expensive book!” another player said. Leaf cursed under her breath that she shouldn’t have told her class about the Folio.

Damn! Now everyone knows! he thought.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said nervously. “Oh, you won’t! Give it to us and we’ll go,” said the teenage bully as he pulled out a razor.

Two officers walked down a hallway and heard some great students threatening Leaf. “Give us the book and we won’t hurt you!” With the players on their backs, the officials hunched over with their weapons and pointed directly at the soccer players. “Freeze it! Put your arms in the air !!”

Then Ben and his father came in. Joe saw the rare Folio resting on the instructor’s table and examined it carefully, making sure it hadn’t been damaged. It appeared to be in the same condition and Joe immediately put away a special briefcase that secured and preserved valuable books.

The library is closed, but security will report this.” Ben was embarrassed and wanted to cry, but his father was so relieved to get the new Yale acquisition back, at the moment he wasn’t so mad at Ben. Joe’s only thought was, “It’s okay that ends well.”
