Because of this drive, their fan base is loyal and dedicated to rooting for them to a championship title. With several months to go until the start of the season, tickets are already in high demand and will disappear like never before.

From this, they decided to focus only on strengthening these weak points and nothing else. Management has chosen to look at the draft, only, for new players. There is a chance, if absolutely necessary, that a trade or free agent will have a chance, but not as far as anyone knows at this point. Fans are excited and know that, at this point, almost anything can happen.

These were the days when managing a football team still held some joy; you weren’t tied down by all the red tape and legalities. When it came time to make changes to the team, it didn’t take long compared to what it takes today.

It wasn’t until 1961 that they really became known as the San Diego Chargers and they started playing in what is now their hometown. Alworth, now a Hall of Famer, was one of the best Charger players during this time, coached by none other than Sid Gillman. This is where the Chargers came from, and this is where their base was solidified.

This was an amazing feat for the team as the Jets were Super Bowl champions in ’69. The Chargers coach got sick and had to give up his job to Charlie Waller, the team’s offensive backfield coach. The ’60s turned out to be a time of change for the team, and it was then that they began to make their claim to fame.

Their record of 2208, 7 wins against 8 losses, caught the attention of many new fans. . Fans, new and old, were suddenly looking for Charger tickets.

This victory brought an AFC West Division title to his locker room and his loyal fans. He also took them to the playoffs as the fourth seed. The 2008 season turned out to be a good year for the Chargers and opened the door for a phenomenal 2009 season.
