World of Warcraft – Mageweave Farming in Felwood and the Hinterlands

Website design By BotEap.comI’ve been getting a lot of questions about mageweave farming, far more than other types of cloth drops. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that mageweave cloth is consistently the most expensive type of cloth to buy, and therefore the most profitable to sell.

Website design By BotEap.comWhatever the reason, I’ve decided to revisit the Mageweave farming situation. I’m not a big fan of farming for its own sake, though I certainly realize that sometimes it’s worth it or necessary.

Website design By BotEap.comFor this article I have decided to use a new approach. I have listed below a few regions where Mageweave can be grown comfortably, so you have options.

Website design By BotEap.comThe Hinterlands is a good region for Alliance and Horde players to farm mageweave. I suggest a level from the low 40s to the low 50s or higher to grow comfortably. Many other things can also be found, such as ghost mushrooms in that northern cave. Your best bet when it comes to Mageweave are the Vilebranch Trolls (Scalper, Embosher, Soothsayer, and Witch Doctor) which have healthy Mageweave drop rates in the low 30% range.

Website design By BotEap.comFelwood is also a decent place to farm mageweave. Not the best drop rates overall, but there are tons of mobs that spawn quickly to kill, so gathering lots and lots of magic weave isn’t hard. The mobs to kill in Felwood are Jadefire Satyr, Felsworn, and Rogue. You really can’t go wrong with these guys, as they not only drop Mageweave at an impressive rate (low to mid range 30%) but they also drop Felcloth, which as you know is a crucial ingredient in all kinds of awesomeness. Tailoring recipes. Or you can sell it at the Auction House, it’s worth a lot.
