Have you ever been in this situation: You started playing some time ago, you start the current wave to see how all your towers are shot, but some of the enemies still arrive at your base, with only a little life, but only what enough to render all your previous efforts useless? Oho, especially if your base doesn’t have enough hit points left and you have to start over, I know how that feels!
Website design By BotEap.comWell below I will write some tips to help you handle the situation and win more tower defense games. There are differences from game to game, but the notice you will receive is intended to be general.
- Place short-range towers (usually the ones you have at the beginning or some powerful, but short-range ones) as close to the turning points of the maze as possible. This way they will keep shooting for a longer time.
- Place the long range towers towards the center of the map. Keep in mind that most of the time your range will increase by upgrading them! This way you will cover much more of the path the enemy is walking on.
- Use towers with slow effects! Better to put them before tower groups that will deal massive damage.
- If you know that you will deal with enemies that heal themselves, don’t scatter your towers too much. You don’t want them to have time to regain their health.
- If there are poison towers, they belong at the beginning of the maze and at precalculated intervals (to re-poison the enemy when the effect wears off).
- Updates – You have to find out as you play which towers are really worth updating. That is, upgrading a slow tower could be more beneficial to its defense (and cheaper) than upgrading the entire group of towers behind it. Anyway, on small maps and towards the end of the game, you will be forced to bet on quality over quantity (especially if the enemy has armor!).
- In some tower defense games, some enemies are more susceptible to damage from certain towers. Find out which one, if any, and use it against you!
