What Mike Filsaime, Alex Jeffreys, Frank Kern and Maria Andros need to know

Website design By BotEap.comThey are all GREAT sales people, very financially successful and travel extensively. They seem to live the lifestyle many of us dream of, BUT at the risk of sounding like a grumpy old lady, don’t they know that when you drive you have to focus on the road?

Videos have become increasingly popular and are a fantastic way to build relationships. For those brave enough to get behind the camera, it’s a great way to connect with specific audiences. The idea is to be yourself and act naturally. No one explains it better than the queen of video herself, Maria Andros.

Since Frank Kern did it, there has been a growing trend for videos shot inside a moving vehicle to appear and my question is: how many people do you know who normally drive looking out the passenger window and talking to themselves? If I did, I would be considered “weird” and even more dangerous to road users than I already am. I’m geo-challenged at the best of times and hate driving, but I’ve noticed that when these supermarket vendors go on the road there’s never any traffic, so maybe I’d feel differently if I lived where they do!

Anyway, kidding aside, this brings me to the point of this article and that is the need for insurance. No, I’m not just talking about car insurance, but travel insurance and it’s something even these high-flying salespeople should consider, especially as they clearly travel a lot more than the average person.

My friend just told me the sad story of a family that spent thousands of dollars on airfare, lodging, hospital bills, etc. because a relative got into a nasty car accident in Thailand and no one knew if he had any insurance. He probably did it, BUT since he’s in a vegetative state, no one knows who he’s with, or where to find the policy.

I’m not here to preach, BUT if you are traveling anywhere “overseas” either alone or with your families, make sure you have travel insurance and leave a copy or copies of documentation with someone back home. That way, if something terrible ever happens, your nearest and dearest will know where to turn.

In the case just mentioned, the poor boy was taken home, but even after all the anguish, inconvenience, and expense involved for all, it is not clear whether his efforts will be rewarded. I hope he has a happy ending.

It’s a sad story, but I hope you learn and stay accident free.

Now where did I put my car keys?
